Product Features:
  • 150-watt amplifier power
It takes power to produce the high volume that audio lovers adore. Fortunately, the JBL SP150 250-millimeter (10-inch) powered subwoofer has that power: 150 watts. So blast the bass as loud as you want. The SP150 can handle it.
  • 10" (250mm) down-firing driver for deep, rich bass
Some subwoofers push sound waves at a wall, but the JBL® SP150 250-millimeter (10-inch) powered subwoofer has a down-firing driver that sends sound to the floor for a cleaner response with fewer unwanted sonic reflections. Low-frequency sound won’t bounce from surface to surface but will radiate up from under you for bass that you have to hear (and feel) to believe.
  • LFE and line-level inputs for flexible connection opportunities
Today’s speaker systems need to carry a wide variety of signals from a wide variety of components and sound sources. That’s no problem for the SP150 powered subwoofer. Its LFE (low-frequency effects) and line-level inputs ensure that every note will reach your ears.
  • Level, crossover and phase controls let you tailor the sound
Raise the volume level. Switch the phase setting. Change the frequency where the subwoofer interacts with other speakers. The SP150 has controls that let you make the subwoofer sound exactly the way you like it.
  • Sleek, compact design complements Loft Series speakers
The SP150 powered subwoofer comes in a wood-grain vinyl cabinet that looks good with the other speakers in the Loft Series. And its compact size – 16 inches (406 millimeters) tall, 12-1/2 inches (318 millimeters) wide and 14 inches (356 millimeters) deep – allows it to fit into almost any room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Sub Woofer Had my eyes on this sub for a while now. Caught it on sale and got it for $119.00 at my local electronics super store. I paired it with my ES80s and wow, talking about shaking the house. I honestly don`t think I could have done better. Bass is solid and tight. I have a 5:2 Denon setup and can`t wait to get the 2nd sub, not that I really need it now :)

I already own this and I am wondering what speakers i should get to accompany this, can i use passive speakers with this as my speaker amp? or do I need to get powered speakers if I do not want to use a receiver?

Asked by: pittman90
You will definitely need to get an amplifier in order to power the passive speakers as you cannot power those with the amplifier of the sub woofer. If you don't want to use a receiver then it would be advisable to get powered speakers along with it.

How do I connect this sub to a Yamaha RX v590 receiver?

Asked by: Matt11
On the Yamaha RX V590, there is a set of RCA jacks labeled "Output", above the front speaker terminals, to the right of the center/surround terminals. The bottom center jack is labeled "Low Pass for 200 Hz". This is the line-level subwoofer output that you can connect to the SP150's Subwoofer Input using an RCA cable.

is there a "3.5 mm Aux In " port ? If not , how do I hook this up with a portable player device ?

Asked by: PGNIP
The SP150 is a powered subwoofer, and must be connected to the subwoofer line output of a receiver/amplifier using RCA cable and plugged into the wall outlet in order to function.
